South Shore Medical Center's Norwell location now offers advanced digital 3D mammography (breast tomosynthesis) which helps better distinguish harmless abnormalities from tumors, resulting in fewer callbacks.
All exams are performed in a private, comfortable and state-of-the-art facility staffed exclusively by female technicians. Mammograms are interpreted by a board-certified radiologist and the program is fully accredited by the American College of Radiology and licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the FDA.
Mammography is currently scheduled:
- Monday–Thursday: 7:20 AM – 7:00 PM
- Friday: 7:20 AM – 2:50 PM
- Saturday: 8:20 AM –11:20 AM
